Occupying the raised ground floor of a turreted Scottish baronial-style mansion, set on the imposing hillside beside Stirling Castle, The Ridge dates back to the 1840s and makes for an elegant retreat with stunning views.

Laze on the tartan chaise longue in the grand hall (complete with antlers, whisky bar and chandeliers!), enjoy a good book in the study overlooking the Wallace Monument and Ochil Hills, and awake in a triple-aspect bedroom that affords stunning views for miles around.

The property is available to rent for full weeks or weekends – all year round, and sleeps up to 4 people.

The properties interiors are the Scottish baronial style – with high ceilings featuring original Victorian plasterwork and cornicing, and carved wooden window frames.

The living room/dining room features a large comfy sofa and chaise longue, a dining table seating up to six people, an upright piano, and TV with DVD player.

The master bedroom has a carved wooden double bed, large wardrobe and triple-aspect bay window, with Roman blinds.

The study/second bedroom has a double sofa bed, and antique desk and chair. A travel cot/play pen is also available.

The kitchen is fitted with modern light-wood units, gas hob, electric oven and grill, fridge, and washer/dryer.

The Ridge also has free WiFi throughout the house, and off-street car parking.
